I traveled far and Windows synced the time to the local timezone. Not sure if this is true though because occasionally, Windows does load up. The date the unit keeps coming up with is the date of the BIOS, it appears because it had to default. In some cases this can help enable the CMOS battery to retain its settings for longer.
