solved windows doesn't recognize the hard drives solved computer crashes, then doesn't recognize hard drive solved i replaced a dead primary hard drive with another used one. I have data that I would prefer not to lose if possible. OK, here's what worked for me. is there another way of saving the info on this drive ? This is usually a problem with drivers or hardware. The drives are not broken because I have tried two different drives, one brand new, tried every one of the 10 USB ports on my computer.
