I think this adapter is a WiFi adapter with a cord connected where the antenna would be, lol. solved share internet over Ethernet port, possible ? Thank you very much! Thanks fo sharing this. Using this adapter I'm unable to connect to the internet (Windows 7), while another computer using the same Ethernet cable connects just fine. Track this discussion and email me when there are updates If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and If it's actually a Wi-Fi adapter, it doesn't look like it in the network settings.

Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended. Unless you're really good at fixing computers, I'd suggest you take the PC to a professional.But if ethernet works in Linux, the problem is with Windows. Have you tried using the USB connector on another computer?

If that fixes the problem, you've got a defective router. Click on it. I bought this USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter from CableMatters because I need to connect via Ethernet for college and my laptop does not have an Ethernet port. I won't bother next time... To fix that, what I did was: I connected thought the Wifi to the University’s WiFi RUN CMD again and type again ipconfig /all. The driver is definitely installed; the program says so and I can see it in System32/Drivers. You can follow him on Twitter if you'd like.
