Because a neighbor had similar problems and the IT guys said it was the physical connection, we assumed as much for ours. I checked all settings and associations but nothing fixed the problem. I have no idea why this should just happen all of a sudden, it is just mind boggling. Please! Source

My problems came from a website which popped up a version of Safe PC Guard or whatever, it is a malicious software which pretends to be an anti-virus check.
